Private Residence, Karen — Full MEP Design & Installation
Project Overview
For a contemporary two-storey private residence in Karen, Nairobi, TechMEPi Engineering delivered the full mechanical and plumbing scope — from first design drawings through to a commissioned, handed-over installation. A high-specification home leaves nowhere to hide poor coordination, so every service was modelled and sized before a single pipe was run.
Scope of work
- Cold and hot water supply — storage, reticulation and pressure-balanced distribution to all wet areas
- Sanitary drainage — soil, waste and vent layout designed for quiet, reliable gravity discharge
- Hot water generation with energy-efficient storage
- Comfort cooling and ventilation to living and bedroom spaces
Designed first, built once
Cold- and hot-water layouts and sanitary drainage were drawn and hydraulically checked so pipe sizes, gradients and fixture demands were proven on paper before installation. That design-led approach kept the finished services concealed, balanced and quiet — exactly what a home of this standard demands.
Water systems were set out to BS EN 806 and above-ground drainage to BS EN 12056, then installed and tested under the supervision of a registered professional engineer.
